CostPlus Life Insurance is licensed to conduct business across Canada, ensuring we can serve clients in multiple provinces and territories.
For insurance products, CostPlus Life Insurance processes insurance-related business through established Managing General Agents (MGAs), who will pay us, or direct the insurance company to pay us, a commission and/or bonus earned from the sale of insurance products that we place. This bonus constitutes a portion of the overall compensation we receive in conjunction with the commissions referenced below. We have full discretion to deal with any insurer with whom we trade, and we are not subject to pressure from any MGA to favor one insurer over another.
To maintain our Life/Accident and Sickness License, our representatives are required to meet mandatory continuing education requirements. Our agents meet these educational requirements through attendance at various seminars and industry meetings, ensuring they remain current with industry best practices and regulations.
CostPlus Life Insurance receives compensation in the form of commissions from insurance companies for policies sold. Commission rates vary by insurance company and product type. We may also receive bonuses or other incentives based on sales volume or performance metrics.
Non-monetary compensation may include educational materials, training opportunities, and attendance at industry conferences. All compensation received does not influence our commitment to recommending the best insurance solution for your specific needs.
